King of Magazines - Official Selection - Ottawa '09

I just got the word today, the music video we did for Danko Jones will be in the official competion in the Ottawa International Animation Festival!

The festival runs from October 14 to the 18th. Both Dave Cooper and myself will be at the festival so feel free to come up and say hello.

Yellow Cake update

I'm still making progress on my latest short film, Yellow Cake.

All of the animation is complete and I've started work on the backgrounds. I'm hoping to have this film finished by the end of the year. Meanwhile, here's an example of my most recent finished one.


I'm trying some different types of lighting effects for the backgrounds in this short. Sort of a more high-contrast look combined with muted colours, all for the purpose of adding DRAMA!
