Thanks!

Hi!

I just wanted to say a big thanks to everyone who ordered a DVD this past week! I was totally blown away by the number of orders, a lot more than I expected that's for sure.
I would have liked to have been able to write a note in each of the packages but there just wasn't time. So I hope this will do instead.

I also want to thank Amid Amidi and Aaron Simpson for helping to get the word out. And also another big thanks to Tom Neely for writing up a really awesome review on his blog.

Hopefully most of you have gotten your DVD's...if not, be assured they are in the mail. Everything is being sent airmail but I'm not sure how long it usually takes to get a small package to Europe, or Australia.

Well, thanks again! I hope you like the film, feel free to come here and post any comments (positive or negative).

I've been running to the mailbox every day...but nothing yet. Tom's review has got me all worked up, too!

I received the DVD today! Thanks Nick!
I love the movie! Where did you get your stock music?

Oh good! Thanks!

I bought a couple of CD's from a stock music company. The company is called SoundIdeas but there are a ton of them around.

It arrived...I watched it twice right away, then again with the commentary. Beautiful. I love it.

The drawings in the waiting room with chair sequence were hilarious.

Thank you!

My copy arrived just the other day, and I watched it (and all of it's extras) yesterday, and loved it. I want a little "Idea" creature of my own as a pet! I sure would be useful on those artist block days! Also loved that tribute to Betty Boop in there. Thanks for making your fantastic DVD available to us!

I got the DVD today and I've watched it 3 times already inbetween making my own animated short. After the first viewing it literally left me lost in thought for a good 10 minutes. It really makes you think. It's also very funny and the most entertaining cartoon to come out in a long time. The colors in the film were genius.

On your commentary, you said you weren't really sure what the TV's (SPOILER ALERT HERE) with Persephone on them meant. To me, they are an almost literal representaion of our society today. We spend more time "interacting" with nature/people etc via computers/tv etc. than we do by getting out of the house and venturing into the real world. And when its all gone, all that will be left are the digital recordings of our wasted earth. Well, like I said, it really makes you think.

Thanks for making such an awesome/original cartoon!

mr. cross,
recieved dvd and am knocked out. An impressive and inspirational work: art direction, animation, everything. Would love to see complete Mr. Floaf. Only saw part one before it disappeared from the site. Anyway, big fan.

Great animation and color-but maybe more you should put more humour and gags/funnyness into it next time,-but I liked it.

Thanks everybody!

John: So far there is only one episode of Mr Floaf... I'm still planning on completing it someday.

Rob: Thanks for the thoughtful and interesting analysis on the ending of the film.

I just got my copy today. It's fantastic. You really did a great job on everything. The animation is really great and funny. Everyone's so nice and rubbery. The colors you used in the backgrounds are beautiful. I really enjoyed that it was timed to music too. No one does that anymore.

I got my copy a week back and watched it and all its extras. I really enjoyed the animation and the commentary as well. The colours are also really awesome and I particularly like the "morbid" ending too!

My only nag about it is the slight bits of obvious tweened flash animation for making objects/characters bouncing. It looks better than if they were stationary but for me personally I always feel detached from a primarily hand-drawn animation when I can tell that it's obviously a flash or after effects tween...

I bought a copy the other day, can't wait for it to arrive. I have bit of a nagging feeling though.

is it specific to any zone?

if it is i'll need to find someone with a real dvd player, i've used up all the zone changes on my computer. :S

I've only read rave reviews about this too. no one seems to be able to do anything but love it.

you must be proud.

Hi Aaron

Thanks for ordering a copy. Fear not, the DVD is "All regions compatible".
You should be getting it soon!
