This 'plog' is now two years old. In that time, I have finished one film, "The Waif of Persephone" and started another, "Yellow Cake".
I'm still hoping to have the DVD for Persephone available this month sometime, and I'm also hoping this year it will get a good number of screenings at festivals around the globe.
Also this year, as of now, I am going to start documenting my production of "Yellow Cake".
This film right now is in the writing/storyboarding stage. I'm hoping that it will end up being shorter than my last film which clocked in at 12 minutes and 20 seconds. That much animation takes a long time to do. So, hopefully this new one will time out to around 8 minutes.
I originally had a blog dedicated to "Yellow Cake" but I figure since not much new artwork is going to be created for "The Waif of Persephone" this blog is starting to get a little boring. So anything related to my film productions will be posted here from now on...
So stay tuned, new drawings, art and animation are one the way for 2007!!

Great Nick, looking forawrd to it!
I'm looking forward to following this one too.
Hey Nick,
I have another After Effects question. When adding grain to your film: do you add grain to your character layer and BG SEPARATELY, or do you composite the character layer (with low opacity blur effects) and the regular background onto a flattened movie, and then put grain over that? Seems like the second would unify it more, but I can't afford unnecessary steps in my production right now.
Also, you mentioned that the grain you added didn't show up on screen. Do you have recommendations as to what settings might be better?
Thanks so much. I can't wait to support your film when you release the DVD's. Hopefully I'll have my film done by that time, and I can send you a copy with my hard earned clams.
Man! You don't stop, do you? That's great. I'm intrigued.
