I'm Shameless....

Good ol' Capitalism! If you can't beat it join it!

What am I talking about? I've added a "Donate" button to the sidebar. Independent films may be done on the cheap but they still cost money....pencils, paper, coffee etc. So if you're feeling that giving mood coming on...just click away.
It's good karma for you!

And as an incentive, here's another clip:

It says on your blog (down there on the right) that you're worth $10,726.26 and now your asking for donations??

That's awesome!

But that's not really my...I mean all it is is....ah forget it!

HA ha! Blooooooogged!

By the way, if you leave a donation, don't forget to tell me your name (if you want) so I can put your name in the credits for the film.

Ha ha if you give me enough money you can even be Executive Producer and order me around!

I passed a panhandler on my way to work Friday and said good morning.. and he said: "Having a Bad Hair Day?" (This coming from a dude whose grey curly hair was sticking out at 90 degree angles from his head!) I said "Yeah I guess I am too!" It was a COLD, windy day, too cold to be sitting out panhandling. I dug out some change for him and kept on going. So! The least I can do is dig a buck or two out for you (even though I know you don't have bad hair days :-) and support indie animation! Keep on drawin' man :-D

Executive Producer?

Have you told Mike about this?

I threw in some. Wish I could afford more right now. Got to support good animation though :)

Oh Troy...

>sniff<

I never "executive" produced anything. That high honour went to our exalted leader.

But it's nice of you to think of me.

Maaannn, that's cool fire! I don't have the slightest clue about animating [good] fire.

That's really great Fire!
Did you animate it by hand or was is it all Computer?

ncross said...

I animated the flames in flash...which took a huge amount of time, but I've managed to reuse them in other projects so it wasn't a total waste of time.

Michael Valiquette said...

So do we have to get the two-disc dvd to see the short, or is it available anywhere else?

Nice flames though, surprised me when I first saw them. Had to watch them a few times. I've never given much consideration to the handling effects animation, but you've managed to keep the aesthetic totally consistent with the character animation. Cool.

As far as I know the two disc set is the only one that's available...it would be cool if it got entered into some festivals, but I think that's New Line's department.

So, rentable then?

Nick, once I win the lottery, I'll make sure to donate as much as you want. lulz. Ouh, wouldn't that be ace?!

You would not believe how tempted I am to toss a wad of cash at you so I can order you around at work in front of everybody...

nice fire! wow! i hate trying to animate fire... but you nailed it... i love that it's got a lot of abstract scribbly lines mixed into it. beautiful.

i'll donate sometime in the future, but kinda poor at the moment. good luck... can't wait to see this cartoon.
