Well, I really love to see the Bambi pic as one of the important element in an opening shot (just a personal opinion!) I wonder what inspire you to insert one here since the same character is posted previously sometime ago.
I think that some drawings, while may not be used in the production stage later, can actually be enhanced, exaggerated, refined and maybe distorted into other important scenarios, that's if it's possible.
In fact, most of your drawings in your blog are reminiscent of John K., one of my heroes of animation (my lecturer, once worked for Disney and Dreamworks, told me about him)! I wonder if you can actually personalize your own drawing style aside from the John K style, that is!
I've always enjoyed animation from its early days ( watching Fliescher's popeye and Warner bros. cartoons on tv in the 60's) Now our 12 year old son has taken up Flash animation and its great to see his first tentative steps and the way he explores different aspects of the medium each time. So its great you are making your notes and sketches, etc available for all to see. I know Archie will be interested as we were both big fans of Ren & Stimpy and delighted to hear you were involved in Spumco. Good luck with your prject and we hope it continues. We loved watching the animations on your webpage.
